Primary schools LAP dance competition
Thursday 23rd February 2012
Host- Thornton Grammar School
The Dance competition was a great success. Firstly we would like to thank all three schools and sports leaders who attended the event. However we would also like to congratulate Ley top on winning this competition.
All three teams were judged out of five to the following criteria:
- 1- imagination of arm moves
- 2- slide and glide
- 3- turns
- 4-jumps
Once again we would like to congratulate Ley top on winning the dance competition, as well as St James’ Church Primary School and Clayton Village on finishing as runners up.
Thank you and we hope to see your school attending our next event.
Primary School Sports Hall Athletic Competition
23rd January 2012
Host – Thornton Grammar School
The Athletics competition proved to be a great success with all the Primary schools who attended giving it a hundred percent. It was a well fought battle between all the Primary Schools and we would like to thank them all for the effort which they put in. Throughout the event, the children worked hard on their individual jumping, throwing and running events to help add points to their schools total. The running scoreboard gave schools an idea of how they were doing but did not reveal the total scores until the very end of the competition.
Congratulations to Clayton CE for taking top place and as a result an invitation to the Bradford finals to compete against all the other School Games Network winners
| School | Total Points | Position |
| Clayton CE | 692 | 1st |
| Lidget Green | 620 | 2nd |
| Springwood | 614 | 3rd |
| Ley Top | 590 | 4th |
| Allerton Primary | 574 | 5th |
