Ski visit to Austria 2010

48 students and staff set of for Austria at the start of February Half-Term for a trip of a life time (for some) to enjoy the thrills, and spills, of skiing in the snow of the Ski Amade region of Austria.  The long coach trip flashed by in an instance and safely tucked up in the hotel the group were ready to attack the slopes of Flachau on the first morning.

Having had confidence boosted with trips to the indoor snow centre at Castleford before they departed the beginners in the group made easy work of their first snow plough turns and soon were flying down the perfect conditions.  Blue skies, perfect snow and a fantastic attitude by all meant that progress was quick and everybody was able to access the whole mountain.

We visited numerous resorts, challenged all that skied, enjoyed ourselves and had a great time.  Evenings saw visits to the local outdoor swimming pool, ice rink and disco.  The fancy dress disco was a real hit with everybody making a great effort with their fancy dress.
